Last year I saw this photo of Stephen Wright and knew that this was a feature I would really like to visit. Then in September at the World Cups I was told about the 2013 Kelly’s white water park event, a big white water festival that would be hosted at the end of the US freestyle tour. 1 year on and I am out here in Idaho having just competed in the first annual Payette River Games event.

The last day of training for the US Team is today. The heat is on, and everyone’s rides are starting to shape up. Competition will be super tight, and it’s going to be one amazing showdown. Here’s a small compilation of the past few days.
Haley is no stranger to the freestyle game, and certainly not at a high level. She took home the 5th place spot in the 2011 World Championships in Germany. In the two years since the last worlds Haley has been training hard.
It’s anyone’s game out there come Friday in prelims, but here are some folks to look out for.
Each time I take a 45-60 second ride I compete against the clock and myself. I used to think that I competed against everyone else.
